Amersfoort is a middlelarge town in the center of The Netherlands. The motorways south/north and west/east go right by which means there is plenty of commercial activity.
Also a good shopping center with the expected chain stores but also nice special ones.

Amersfoort is known for its modern architecture in the suburbs. Definitely worth a visit.
But the city center is very old and interesting too.

In short, Amersfoort has lots to offer for people that live there and for the tourist or occassional visitor.

1 Augustus 09. The service was very bad - I was made a criminal to visit the place The food was of very poor quality and very expensive. I would recommend you not to visit this place. Don't waste your money - starvation is a better option
