Oostvoorne is a lovely seaside village, just 5 kilometres from Brielle. That makes a nice cycling trip. Oostvoorne played its part in Dutch history. Every year there is the Jacoba van Beieren day. A lady who lived in the 14th century and was married to the French crown prince and later even to the English heir to the throne. She lived in the house on this postcard. It is now inhabited by my friends so I have had the pleasure more than once to enjoy this beautiful old house. Places to visit in the neighbourhood: RockanjeHellevoetsluisZwartewaalHeenvlietGeervlietSpijkenisseBrielleI have built pages about them too. Please visit them! |
