Nov 2005: again a wonderful visit to Lefkosia (also known as Nicosia), hanging out with the locals. Life seems to be more relaxed now but when the trouble in Lebanon started earlier this year, and Cyprus got the load of refugees from there, you notice how angry the Cypriots still are at anything that threatens their wish for peaceful living.
Aug 1998: Meeting up with many friends in Cyprus for a conference. It was sad to see this divided city. It is a major topic for all Cypriots and it popped up in just about every conversation.
