We only had 4 hours in Helsinki. Good enough for lunch, some shopping and a long walk. Dark falls early and in that twilight, this church on Senate square becomes a fairy tale. |
|  | Cruise I was in Stockholm for a return trip to Helsinki on this boat, the Viking Line Gabriela. I was on board for a conference with women from 15 European countries. Gili_S kindly made this photo of the ship (3 Jan 2004), whilst docked in Helsinki. 23 Jan 2004. Today a VT-er tells me that it is all over the news: this ship collided today with another ship. No casualities but it proves that an accident is just round the corner and it is such luck to escape. I was on that ship not even a week ago. Been this Church - great place. Nice to see after i was here it featured on a pop video (Darude I think the band were). Great place to hang out on steps in summer |
