I am proud to say that my hometown has the appeal of a miniature Amsterdam with a long history and some 400 buildings and houses that are on the monuments list. Lovely shops and restaurants and all touristic amenities available. See the link to my large Brielle page below.

Delft is a very pictoresque town with its main attractions the Delftware factory (Porceleyne Flesch) and the New Church where Dutch royals have been buried for centuries. But that is not all by far. Go see! My Delft page

An underrated city in The Netherlands, I think. Because it has all the charm of historical buildings, canals and culture that this country is known by.

Goedereede is a tiny town where, for some reason, many artists live. So there are quite a few galleries. It's very picturesque and a good place to have lunch, then walk around for an hour or so. Visit the tower and enjoy the scenery from the top!

Gouda is maybe one of the best known places to people from abroad because it has become synonymous with Dutch cheese. My Gouda page is a little bit special because I visited it with a TV filmcrew from Wales. It really makes you look at a place differently!

Heenvliet, together with Geervliet are two villages within the municipality of Bernisse. It's a small village that was once the home of the Lords of Voorne. It has a castle ruin and a delightful village square. See the link to my Heenvliet page below.

Heijplaat, although a village in the old days, is now completely part of the harbour and industry area of Rotterdam. Although some may dispute its beauty, the industrial area is a very interesting place to drive around, make photo's of the harbour activity. See the link to my Heijplaat page below.

Hellevoetsluis is a harbour town with a 40.000 population and a historical town center. Features here are the harbour, the drydock (first Waterstaat project in The Netherlands). See the llink to my Hellevoetsluis page below.
