We were lucky to arrive very early and our flight back was in the evening so we had 6 full days of sightseeing.

|  | Day 1.After check in at Hotel Quisisana (very near Roma Termini station): Churches: S. Maria Maggiore, San Pietro in Vincoli (churches), walk to the Colosseum and visit S. Clemente, the church built on top of another church, built on top of a Roman house.Day 2.Piazza del Populo, S. Maria del Populo (church), Via del Corso, Mausoleum of Emperor August, Ara Pacis, the Valentino exhibit, coffee at Caffe Greco, Piazza di Spagna, Trevi fountain, Pantheon, Piazza Navona, S Maria sopra Minerva, Largo ArgentinaDay 3.Visit Ostia Antica, walk around the neighbourhood of the hotel, local shops, supermarket.Day 4. VaticanDay 5. Colosseum, Palantine, Forum Romanum, icecream at Giovanno Freddi Day 6. Bus to Largo Argentina, walk along Tiber, Tiber island, Porta Portese market, S. Cecilia, walk about Trastevere. |
|  | Short is short. Haven't mentioned half the churches in between walks, the lunches and dinners (we tried all the restaurants in the street of our hotel), the icecreams and errrr.... did I mention the walks? |
