A capital city, enormous in size but relatively low key. Union Buildings is majestic atop Roberts Heights, Many Embassies add to the International importance of City ;-)

I have been to Pretoria in 2001 and 2002..and it is good to see this place again here.
Good info on empty tombs. Great pics in travelogue:Voortrekkersmonument? the building is like a buiding I saw on the postcard from... East Germany once (don't remember what it was)!
Have to come back to visit more of your pages !
I don't know toomuch about Pretoria. Most travelers concentrate on Cape Town, Johannesburg, Kruger National Park, or other places.
