Rue St. Romain STORES/MALLS Review

Leaving St. Maclou behind us

and entering Rue St. Romain towards Cathedral Notre Dame. I saw some lovely shops here, a great hat shop (remember, I have a travelogue about my hat collection on my Netherlands page) and upmarket antique shops. Also some shops where you can have buy traditional, handpainted earthenware or have your own painted.

Place St. Marc FLEA/STREET MARKETS Review

If you stroll down a little further along Rue Martainville (which is not in the guide) you will come across a market square. Hugely busy on a Sunday with restaurants around and a big, lively market with food and bric à brac to browse through. Lovely!

Place Vieux Marché: Sunday Market FLEA/STREET MARKETS Review

Sunday dinner is an important moment. All food-selling shops are open. And the market stalls on this square are open. Ít's always a pleasure to see all those cheeses, seafood, vegetables and flowers.
