Saint-Fargeau Travel Guide: 26 reviews and 51 photos

Chateau Fargeau

Delightful chateau that is famous for its yearly theatre spectacle (Son et Lumière) in summer.
I visit here often, every year when I am staying in the neighbourhood. Enjoy the photos!

Going again in February and May 2004

Fun! You can walk around the roof beams at Villandry now. It's interesting to see the construction.

Have you read the novel "au plaisir de Dieu" of academician Jean d’Ormesson, who lived in this castle. The castle is the main character of the book (that I have not read). Louis-Michel Lepeletier de Saint Fargeau is one of his ancestors.

Thanks for this wonderful virtual visit! I remember going there often as a kid as we had friends living nearby. At the time I loved the "son et lumières" they would have in the summer, with knights in full armor aso...
