The white nose which is what Blanc-Nez means. Very busy spot but the view is magnificent.

It is about 15 kms southwest of Calais.

This is an enjoyable page. Thank you for sharing. I should visit the Nord some day. It must be very close to where you live - as the crow flies. I am glad you liked my Beijing page. I had a wonderful time there.

How about the real kite's harriers and hawks and other birds of prey. This is also a great pace for birdwatching

A nice page with Cap Blanc-Nez but for French people,the name "Sangatte" sounds as a sad and shameful place, For several years (until about 2003 or early 2005, I feel), illegal immigrants that failed to pass the chunnel towards England were kept there.
