Most shops at train stations are very expensive and the one at the station in Desenzano is no exception. There is one newsagent, but they don't sell drinks or snacks. So, you have to go to the bar next door which is very expensive.
Unique Suggestions: Well, buy something cheaper like bottled water.
Fun Alternatives: We used to go to this mini market at the top of Viale Cavour. It's on the right side, if you have the station behind you. It only takes a couple of minutes to walk there and you could probably save around 50% compared to buying at the station.
