Garda is very pretty with the big, green mountains surrounding the small town. Its seaside walk is claimed by many to be the best one by the lake. I didn't think it looked too spectacular, but I did like it cause there was a nice park where you could go to hide from the sun. You have great surroundings to admire though.

Sirmione

This seems to be the most popular place by the lake. I could definitely tell by the amount of people there. Some streets were completely packed with people and this wasn't even during high season. The narrow streets are very pretty though.

Sirmione is dominated by the Scaligero castle. At the very top of the peninsula is Grotte di Catullo, the remains of a Roman villa.

Lazise

This was my favourite place by the lake. It's just as pretty as Sirmione but wasn't as crowded. We could really take it easy here.

If you arrive by boat, you will first see the castle and the S. Nicol? Church. The seaside walk is very wide and is lined with palm trees.

Pros and Cons

Pros:Warm climate, beautiful, historical sights
Cons:Many tourists during high season
In a nutshell:A nice place where you can relax as well as get very active
