Larissa Travel Guide: 13 reviews and 144 photos

Larissa is the 5th largest city of Greece and capital of Thessaly. It's one of the most ancient settlements of Greece yet it doesn't have anything interesting for tourists. Nevertheless, it is a very lively and full of energy city with wonderful cafes, nighclubs, pedestrian streets teeming with people and nice squares. I moved here last November to do my 1-year postgraduate studies on Management.

Larissa is built on the banks of Pinios river.

In the very center of the city there are the ruins of the ancient theater. Restoration works are on process.

Hi there! I have been to wonderful Larissa and loved the place. I was not amused that olympic Airlines lost my luggage though! I have a Greek friend who now lives here in Belfast (from Athens). Nice to meet you here on VT. ronaldbarr
