Rafina is the second largest port of Attica, after Pireus. It is a small town,
30 km from downtown Athens. It takes just an hour by bus. It is also quite close
to the new airport. Ferries connect Rafina with islands of the Cyclades as well
as Karystos and other towns on the southern part of Evia island. I personally
took this photo on November 3, 2003 from the plane on the way to Milan and then
Venezuela! I was so excited I could almost see my house from up there!

Nice tipe for your hometown!
You have a very nice hometown! I want to see more photos!!!
I will be in Rafina for one day on June 4. I will be staying at the hotel in Rafina before catching my plane back to the US on June 5. I am attending the Vt meeting in Santorini and will end my trip in Rafina.
That photo from the air... memories! I just love that sight when we fly into ATH!
Nice little page, I only stopped overnight in Rafina and didn't get a chance to get out and about but it looks like a chill place. Cheers, John.
Wow!!!! Looks like you your house has views to kill for.... Must return to Evia one day soon.
Argiri Akti seems like an awesome restuarant. If I were Miltiades I would find it difficult to leave the table to fight the Persians at Marathon if this place was around 2400 years ago.
History is the most thrilling best seller story we have :) You live in a wonderful nice place! What a view!!! Does other tourists come there too or is this place not known to them?
What a loveley start to your pages :-))
The beautiful color of your sea and the mountains in the back, I can almost smell the salt air backed by mountain odors. Thanks.
