I love this place. Even as a child I was already strangely attracted by Haarlem, although I can't remember why. Perhaps it had something to do with the fact that Haarlem was where all the comic strips that I loved so much came from. I was obsessed by those in my younger years! Obviously Haarlem became a mythical place for me. Today that's hard to understand even for me. Now that I have grown up I simply recognize Haarlem as one of the prettiest cities of my country. It's not only beautiful, it has a nice atmosphere as well, much more relaxed than Amsterdam. See the travelogue for pictures of some of my favourite buildings.
