Bullfighting--Cataláns don't pursue bullfighting with as much fervor as do the Castilians of Madrid. Nevertheless, you may want to attend a corrida in Barcelona. Bullfights are held April to September, usually Sunday at 6:30pm at the Plaça de Toros Monumental, Gran Vía de les Corts Catalánes (tel. 93-245-58-04). Purchase tickets (1,800 to 6,500 ptas./US$10.80 to US$39) in advance from the office at Muntaner, 24 (tel. 93-453-38-21). |
