Since there is no selection for Pompei I decided to Put iT here. Let me 1st off start by telling you how much I love studing Roman History, I think its the most interesting topic out there, (history wise) about 20 minutes south of Naples this city of Pompei was once a regular Roman city where people worked, ate, played, traded goods, and just lived thier lives. Why Pompei was such an important find, is because the the incredible way its was preserved, 2 thousand years ago a Mountain ( which was really a volcano) shot off 30 miles into the sky. Then for about 1 week strait, little lava pellets rained from the sky sufficating and killing everybody. Which eventually buried the city 30 meters below . The phrase that comes up all the time when talking about Pompei is "FROZEN IN TIME". But through This we are able to see how these people lived thier everyday lives.
