My mom and I drove to Cincinnati from Detroit Michigan in April 2004 to see the St. Peter and the Vatican , Legacy of the Popes exhibit that was being shown at the Cincinnati Museum Center at Union Terminal http://www.cincymuseum.org/

The Exhibit was amazing, for the first time in history, relics from hundreds of years were on tour in North America. The exhibit was planned to visit four cities, Fort Lauderdale, Houston, Cincinnati and San Diego but Mexico City was recently added.

While we walked through (it took 2.5 hours) I overheard a women who worked at the museum telling a group that the week before a group of Tibetan Monks had visited and they brought to their attention the fact that some of the items were upside down. Of course they wanted this fixed immediately and the women explained to them she didn't have the authority. It was an interesting story.

I did purchase a MapEasy's Guidemap to ROME so I told my husband that since I now have a map we MUST go to Rome! He agreed! I can't wait for the day!

There is also an IMAX theatre, Childs Museum (you can even plan a childs party there), Local History and Natural History and Science exhibits.

There is plenty of parking available, they open at 10:00 so get there early because by the time we got out of the exhibit the place was packed with people. We took a taxi but check because the downtown hotels can tell you about buses and may have shuttles available.
