We were on our way to Vancouver, and decided to take the scenic route, since it was such a nice day.
We hopped on a ferry from Mulkilteo to Whidbey Island, hoping the scenery would be more interesting than just cutting through the interstate. Hmm... it was a long(er) drive, since the road was local in the island, and the scenery was okay, nothing special really (maybe in the fall?), but once we got to the northern tip of the island, we were surprised to find this little treasure here.
Deception Pass State Park has four lakes, and over 70,000 ft of saltwater shoreline, rugged cliffs, and this saphire blue water that makes you wanna stick your toes in it -- the water is very cold, by the way!
We just passed through, snapped a few pictures, but it was worth the stop. The view was very refreshing! |
