Melbourne is the capital city of Victoria, the state in the south east of mainland Australia. Melbourne is famous for it's ever changing weather and was the inspiration for Crowded House's song 'Four Seasons in one day'. The population of Melbourne is about 3.4 million and the city covers about 1700 square kilometres. The ethnic makeup of Melbourne is fairly diverse. Victorians are foorball crazy, and most Melbournians strongly support their local AFL (aussie football)team. Melbourne had some great shopping, restaurants and local attractions.
