Welcome to my virtual tourist page. I've been a member of virtual tourist for over a year, and it's been great to watch it grow. I've use the site to plan a couple of holiday's and found the advice from other travellers fantastic. I hope my info will be of use to some of you too.

I live in Brisbane, which is in Queensland Australia. Brisbane is a great city, nd despite being called a big country town by some of our southern neighbours, it has a lot to offer residents and travellers. In a world of growing tensions it is good to belong to a city which values its laid back lifestyle.

I think the above quotes are a good summary of my attitude towards travelling. There is so much diversity in our world and it's fascinating to learn about how the human experience can vary so much. In travelling I hope to gain a better understanding of the multitude of cultures that exist and to incorporate as much knowledge as I can in the the way I live my life.

I'm happy to be able to share my travel pictures and information with all of you. Being in Australia I often feel like I'm so far away from the rest of the world - which is true in terms of distance! But being able to share pictures and read information on other peoples travels on VT makes the world seem a lot smaller. It's overwhelming how many great places there are in the world to visit, and I hope the information I have on here will help anyone interested in coming to Australia or any of the other places I've been.

I'm hoping to add lots more pictures and information, particularly on Australia, where I live and have travelled a bit. As far as overseas goes, I've got some information up about Fiji, and I'm in the process of building my Beijing, Singapore and other pages. I hope you find some useful info and if you have any questions feel free to drop me a line. And who knows, maybe we'll meet somewhere during our travels.

The picture above is of me in 1983, on my first trip overseas. Since then I've grown a lot, seen more of the world, and developed a bunch of other dreams. But I think my smile is still the same :)
