Prahova Valley, between Bucharest and Brasov, has always been the favorite place to be in the winter for romanians.
There are many resorts here, some of them of historical importance, like Sinaia, summer heaquarters for the royal family before WWII.
Predeal is know as the best skiing resort in Romania, and after 1989 has there has been a boom in real estate,services and touristic infrastructure in the area.
