Blue waters

My friends Paul and Mirella from the UK, recently bought a house in Torrelamata, they kindly invited Carmen and myself up for the weekend. Glad to see old friends from back home and not to miss a chance at exploring yet another area of Spain .... we set off on our 6 hour drive to visit for the weekend.

Torrelamata is a small town on the outskirts of Torrevieja, it has become a popular spot for the Spanish and northern Europeans to buy second or holiday homes. It possesses a couple of miles of white sandy beaches, blue waters and a warm winter climate in addition to the guaranteed sun of its hot summers. It has a good selection of bars and restaurants to pass the evenings away in.
