Spain's third largest city, famous for its paella (rice dish with seafood and chicken) and the 'fallas' festival in March (where large effigies of public people are burnt). Its center has a medievel cathedral, gothic silk exchange, two museums of art and a very impressive indoor market. I was only able to spend two hours here, so was only able to visit the cathedral and market. |

| | VT MEETING 7-9TH MARCH 2003 My next visit to Valencia was in March 2003. Three VT members from Valencia were holding a meeting in the city... Amelia40, Pginer and Kunisada. I arrived on the 8th of March ready for the Mascleta, the big firework extravaganza held during the daytime in the city, part of the Fallas festival. More pics and text to follow soon. |
