Horse Riding In Arkansas:Scott Valley Resort Ranch |
Personal Information
I'm an ex-british soldier, who spent 22 years in the Army, and hardly travelled anywhere outside of the UK unless on Military business. Since leaving the Army, my wife and myself, have taken the opportunity to spread our wings a bit, and do some sight seeing, when we get time off our current work. By far our best holiday destination is the USA, for a variety of reasons. But if you want an experience of a life time, then our Kenya Safari was exactly that. We tend to be set in our ways when it comes to what we expect from a holiday. We like to sightsee, (be a little adventurous), with good food, and none of these package deals if possible. We have travelled a little, and are glad to report that we have never been treated badly anywhere, and are looking forward to a few more years of travelling yet. As you can see from the picture we enjoy American Style Horse riding, and pursue this mainly at their Resort Style Ranches, a compromise with the wife, she wants some of the comforts, whereas I would love to try a City slicker holiday.
Best piece of advice I could give any traveller is, do it, travel. My biggest regret is not starting my travelling earlier, I'm now 52, and I held off going to the USA for years because of fears about the level of violence, and other such incidents. Everything in life is an experience, fortunately for me they have been good ones, but travelling is becoming more problematic as one gets older, so do it don't hold back. Your common sense will prevent you from getting too many problems, and just think of the tales you can tell your children.
For a better experience in America, Germany and Austria, we have found that as a rule, if you hire a car, and make up your on itinerary, you should be able to find accommodation along the way to suit your needs. It is much better than the package deals, and if you use the library prior to leaving you will have a great idea of what to do and see.
