in this white hell,workers dig all year round extracting non iodized salt .
workers wear balaclava helmets,black glasses against reverberation,feet and hands burned by sun and salt.
once in the factory,they add iodine to the salt.

about workers,they don't know lack of iodine means in the long time goitre and cretinism....

this amazing site could change:under the salt stays half quantity of the whole world lithium!...a business to follow!

before 2000 workers,now less than 500!
bolivian state encourage redundant workers to keep working as member of a ... private cooperative!...output is very low...so the worker exploits himself!....and of course,no social protection at all!

for visiting two choices:comibol,stateworking...or private cooperative:don't hesitate,choose the second one!
