"a forgotten town, relic of the past!" Pisagua by cbeaujean

Pisagua Travel Guide: 5 reviews and 7 photos

a very isolated coastal "city"

the ghostliness of the place is intensified by the monotonous lapping of the waves....

midway between arica and iquique.
100km north of iquique, turn on the left side and then 52km to pisagua
through the desert...

Pros and Cons
  • Pros:a city of ghosts
  • Cons:if you don't like staying alone....no public transport!!!
  • In a nutshell:a funny sea resort off the beaten paths!

Verdaderamente impresionante... La belleza del lugar cohabita con la miseria y el horror... Gracias por compartirlo, Claudine

A great page of a very off-beat location! It is always a bit sad when you come across the relics of a once-vibrant community with all of its dreams!

Really impressive. Better fishing than nitrates and prisons. Excellent page.

Patria de mi ternura y mis dolores, Patria de amor de primavera y agua, hoy sangran tus banderas tricolores sobre las alambradas de Pisagua ......I´ve never been there, but this is an important and interesting page!! Muy buenas fotos como siempre!
