Ancient Capital of Abyssinia...

by leonik - last update: Feb 21, 2006

Stelae and unexcavated tombs...

Famed for its mysterious stelaes and royal tombs, Queen of Sheba etc...

Only 5% of this holy city have been excavated and so much has been uncovered already... my oh my!

It seems to have many traditions and culture, despite of the poverty and many other tough things to see, you are quite a traveller, eh?:)

Nice photos. Please provided more details of how to get around. Ethiopia must be somewhat challenging, unless you have a car and driver.

This place looks quite new. So where do they keep the ark? We have a round Ethiopian church in Jerusalem, too, with lots of arks.
