Islamabad is the purpose-built capital of Pakistan, of which previously Karachi held that title.
It's clean, green, orderly and modern, unlike most other cities in Pakistan. It's a LOT less polluted and people actually obey the traffic lights! Traffic doesn't go 2-ways in a 1-way lane here... motorcyclists and moped-riders actually don helmets too... and motorists DO buckle up here!
It's a refreshing city to be in from the chaos of Karachi and Lahore. |
