"Vilnius, the clean city!" a Vilnius Travel Page by Dany_Kulta

May 2003: I decided to travel during 3 weeks that time :D
At first I arrived alone, and met some of my friends from the last trips...Then I moved to Kaunas and Siauliai(look kaunas+siauliai pages). I Only came back to Vilnius for the departure.

Next trip in Vilnius: August 2003! I arrived on 16 August with Dick, a friend who traveled for the first time in LT and who hasn't traveled a lot, as he doesn't speak any other language than french !!!!!
We stayed several days in Vilnius going to Brodvejus, Helios, and we moved to Palanga-Klaipeda-Mazeikiai-Siauliai before comming back to Vilnius. We enjoyed really a lot our holidays, Dick doesn't drink and I was sometimes feeling guilty to taste the delicious Svyturys :D ...
Next comming is already planned for end October for me :D

And I just came back from that wonderful trip :) This friday 19th December, I reached Vilnius and a friend waited me at the airport :) So I moved to my appart near teh cathedral, and I started with a local kokteilis :)
As there was MODEL NIGHT 2 in GALAXY club (in Forum Palace, a luxurious business center), I prepared myself for the party. I had to meet Ausra in front of the entry. The party was excellent and after having danced all the night, I moved to Pica Cili, always open when discos close... :)
The next day I met Glen with 2 local friends, then he joined Dick and Gigi.....At first I wanted to travel alone, so Glen reached then and I moved alone in Pilies, where I met a groups of hip-hop boys. We started drinking waiting the opening of what was disco RIO before and became LATINO HEAT disco...God says why ;) .......So I tried this hip-hop night in what was supposed to be a latino disco ;) ... I had fun but missed the electronic sounds, so I moved to HELIOS disco...to charge my batteries ;) ... Then I came back to Latino Heat where I met the owner, from Cuba, and some other people inside :)
The next day I had to move to Kaunas, as I already reservated an appartment from that night.....
Bye bye Vilnius......
I just came back on 26 December during the day with Glen, Dick and Gigi for a short visit....and to find some rabbits ;) .. joke

December 2003:
So, as I told, I came in Kaunas on 21th December...I reservated an appartment in Laisves Street, so in the main center, close to all commodities, shops, discos ans baras ;) That sunday night, I met Vaida to meet the owner of my future apaprtment, then I met another friend and we moved to eat soemthing in Prie Akmenu, in front of Soboras. Practically all was close except Metro City disco ....And Glen and Dick were busy, so I moved there with Gigi. I met inside some people I knew....
Second day, I had to find a home for Gigi...and I made him visit some shops and the Old Town as he doesn't speak english. In one part, I was supposed to travel alone, as I wanted.....Finally i met Laura's twin sister Aurelija and her best friend Skaiste, and we drunk several pints before going to my appart where we tried Keglevich vodka-melon :) .... The party continued in Metropolis restaurant :)
....Laukiniu Klubas..or something like that....The music was great, but it was quite empty....We stayed in group with the 2 twin sisters (Ausra and Aiste) always with Dick and Glen. After that night we moved to a very little open bar I know near Mikauviskai street.(sorry I know I destroyed the name of the street :) very hard to remember) That bar is almost ALWAYS open and is for people who can't arrive to sleep.. :)
The following day, 24 December, I met Laura during the day in Boogie Woogie restaurant (I lived upstairs in the same building), and we decided to meet for Christmas with her family.....My first lithuanian Chrsitmas :) It has been a really great experience as only Laura could speak with me....I tried few lithuanian specialities which I don't remember the names, and after that, later at night, I joined Dick who was walking in the Old town, while Glen stayed with Gigi. We spent that end of night in the little bar always open....
This 25 December, more discos were supposed to be open....So we decided to meet with Vaida, Laura, Aurelija to go to Zepelinus disco. Aurelija was busy, so with Dick we moved there, and Glen and Gigi joined us there. We danced a lot and took some fotos of that excellent club :) There were group of singers, striptease for ladies, etc...
The next day, 26 December, we (all the boys) moved to Vilnius for a short trip, and we enjoyed the city :) .. At night we moved back to City Metro because of the X-MAS VIRTUAL PARTY I and Glen were waiting for so long :) ... I met several people I had been talking with, or I met last summer, etc...
