Tuschinski Theatre and other Amsterdam, Netherlands Things to Do Tips

Originally built in 1921 by a Polish immigrant, this art deco cinema is a fantastic building and is situated between the Rembrandt and Munt pleins. In 1998 a full restoration of the building commenced which has resulted in the closure of some of the more decrepid theatres and the modernisation of the better ones. The main theatre now has 800 luxurious seats and there is a VIP balcony where champagne is served. There are also 24 Love Seats !!! A bit expensive (16,5€ per person) but a great gift.

We made a little mistake, we thought they had more than one room in art-deco style, because you could choose between several movies. Only the movie playing in room 1 is in Tuschinski, the rest is in a simple movie theathre, we were very disapointed but after the movie we had a little peak and it is really beautiful. Worth the money !!!!

I think everyone had read the book at school and always remembered the life of Anne Frank, visiting the house made a really big impression on me.
The former hiding place, where Anne Frank wrote her diary, is now a well-known museum. The museum tells the history of the eight people in hiding and those who helped them during the war. Anne Frank's diary is among the original objects on display.
Don't get scared of the long waiting line in front of the house, it is worth it !!!!!!

From monday till saturday (9am till 18am) the shops are open.
This was bad for my wallet, really bad ;))
Here you can find everything, clothes, watches, food, cleaning products, shoes,....
It is all very cheap, but compare the shops, I bought a handbag for 7€. A bit further away I saw the same for 21€ !!!!
On their site you can find a lot of the shops and the brands they are selling.
