I have been living in Oostende all my life and i really love this city. Oostende is also known as "The Queencity of the Coast" because one of our kings had a house here. You can do everything (almost) here, museums, art, theater, cinema, nighlife, sightseeing, relax,.... The last 3 years the government has been busy with renovating the streets and the seaside and it turned out great.
