The Mannheim Planetarium is run as a non-profit private limited company, a business form that has worked successfully with other planetaria as well.
After almost 20 years of uninterrupted operation with a Mark VI projector, the management is now contemplating a modernization. Science has developed many new facets meanwhile, and advanced planetarium technology has the capabilities to demonstrate them.
