Getting TO/AROUND: We flew with www.mytravellite.com from Birmingham for £62 including tax. The further you can book in advance the cheaper the tickets will be.
When we got the Barcelona airport, we were told by the information deak that the best way to get into the city centre was by train (taxi's are expensive and the bus takes ages), so we caught the train for about €5 for 9 of us - you couldn't get into Birmingham for that much!!!!
We had to change at Place de Catalunya and take one stop to Universitat (although we could have walked but we weren't sure where to go at first).
If we got stuck we asked the locals or the information desk and although the language barrier was a problem we got there in the end!!
