...yeah, yeah, yeah. I know its cheezy but 'cmon, your doing all the other tourist things anyway. They usually provide transportation to and from the luau,'traditional' activities, a show and food. Uhhh...poi anyone? Eww! Oh and did I mention all you can drink Blue Hawaiis & Mai Tais?!

The clarity of the water is fabulous and its very warm. Take advantge especially if you live in a place where the opportunity to go swimming rarely presents itself. There are about a bazzilion snorkling tours around that usually include lunch. Pick up one of the tourist publications for phone numbers, prices and discount coupons.

The beaches and shopping up on the north shore Most people don't ever get the opportunity to see waves like these!! The beaches are beaustiful plus the drive up is stunning. i was fortunate enough to have a friend who was at university on the island during my trip. She acted as my personal tour guide as well as showed me some of the finer points of hitch hiking around the island. Its all about leg, girls!

Directions: Its a freakin' island!! You do the math but I'd suggest Haliewa, Waimea & Turtle Bay.

Its pretty much just a big pit but it offers a great view from the top. I've forgotten what the average time is to hike to the top, but if you're pissed off at your brother, you'll hike up it REALLY fast!
