Mittenwald is a fine town on the border with Austria that keeps its local traditions high. ideal for snowvacations in winter and nice for people who like to walk in summer. For me Mittenwald means holiday (Christmas New year or Carnaval) |
| | TYpical paintings In mittenwald most of the houses are painted. I still find new ones after so many visits. See an example of the typical houses |
| One of the many violin builders |
| | Violins Mittenwald is famous for the violins that are produced here and also its school for violin building. (There is a museum on violin building) |
