I used to go to Tokyo on average 3 times a year when I was travelling more. One reason is that I liked to get out of Niigata (where I live) for a change of scenery. Tokyo is filled with places to go and sights to see.
Tokyo is fun yet extremely expensive. If it isn't THE most expensive, it definitely is ONE of the most expensive places in the world.
It is easy to blow a few hundred dollars in one night in Tokyo (just riding the Shinkansen and stay at a hotel). |

In Tokyo - Life is in the fast lane. Tokyo is noisy, always active, has bad water (lots of chemical pollutants), and people are always on the go. The entertainment and the shopping are probably the best in all of Japan. The food is.. Ok. Overall, it's a fun place to visit but, I'll never want to live there. |
Concrete everywhere... Oh! A patch of green! If you're looking for nature then Tokyo is the wrong place to be. But, don't get the wrong idea... Japan isn't devoid of nature. In fact, nature is abundant in other areas of Japan. And in these places, Japan is much more beautiful. Visit my other pages to see some of the beauty of Japan. |
