Of the highlights my wife and I travelled to in Queensland they included Brisbane, the Gold Coast, the Sunshine Coast and Fraser Island.

I really enjoyed driving around in Queensland and I feel the lower population density has a lot to do with that. I didn't have to experience any kind of serious traffic jams or the like and I enjoy the natural look of the countryside all around.

I can see the attraction of living here. I didn't expect Australia to be so filled with nature, and Australians to be living so close to nature. We saw animals not only in the wild but, in places that in Japan or the California I would never have expected to see them. We saw parrots in the trees, 'swarms' of big bats in the skies, and a dingo in the wild.

#1 Fraser Island - Overall, getting there and enjoying all that it had to offer was the most expensive part of our trip but, well worth it. If we hadn't gone to Fraser Island then we would have missed out on the best part of our Australian experience and not even have known it.

#2 Nossa, Nossa Heads, etc. - Absolutely beautiful cities. If we were to live in Australia then I think that these would be the places to live in. There are beautiful lakes all over the place and the beautiful Nossa River runs through it all. Wishing now that we had made plans to stay there over night. A better choice than the Gold Coast.

#3 The Australian Zoo - I really wanted the chance to see Steve Irwin as I had become of a fan of his watching his exploits on Internet video. If I weren't doing what I'm doing, I would love to be doing what Steve has done.
