We were visitng that office that afternoon and the first impression was that of an office made for visitors. There was an exposition area, anyway, and a guy explaining that had a terrible english. We understood almost nothing

But it is NOT an hotel, it is their research lab!

This is the main bulding in the area.

Normally the megaboss in the italian large companies has the office located in the top floor, loving to be invisible, inaccessible, like a god on earth.

When you enter that building instead, you'll see a large office right of the door, ground floor. Well THAT is the office of the OWNER of that company.
This shows officially availability for employees to meet him (nobody goes in there I think ,anyway) and CONTROL.
