In my china trip I made a fast visit to Shenzhen because there were the headquarters of the company who hosted us. I have not many town's pics, or, better, I can't find them. I took the one shown above from shenzhenwindow.netthat is a nice site to surf to know more on what's going on there. Shenzhen was actually founded in the 80's. There was only a fishermen village there before, just a few people. I think location was appropriate for its proximity to Hong Kong, just a few kilometers away. Today Shenzhen counts 7 millions inhabitants and a futuristic architecture of those modern towns that you may found only in southeastern Asia (another example: Kuala Lumpur). The city itself has been built along the main road, that is called Shennan Road. This large road is full of traffic especially during the afternoons, it may take a long time to drive from hotels (many of them here, typical of a modern commercial town) to restaurants or were do you want to go. When you've done here, please proceed to the next step of my China Tour: Xi'An. |
