In my china trip I made a fast visit to Shenzhen because there were the headquarters of the company who hosted us.
I have not many town's pics, or, better, I can't find them.
I took the one shown above from
shenzhenwindow.net
that is a nice site to surf to know more on what's going on there.
Shenzhen was actually founded in the 80's.
There was only a fishermen village there before, just a few people.
I think location was appropriate for its proximity to Hong Kong, just a few kilometers away. Today Shenzhen counts 7 millions inhabitants and a futuristic architecture of those modern towns that you may found only in southeastern Asia (another example: Kuala Lumpur).
The city itself has been built along the main road, that is called Shennan Road.
This large road is full of traffic especially during the afternoons, it may take a long time to drive from hotels (many of them here, typical of a modern commercial town) to restaurants or were do you want to go.
When you've done here, please proceed to the next step of my China Tour: Xi'An.

A lovely page. Got the real feel of the place.
Superb!
I, too, only spent a short time in Shenzhen. It seems like an interesting city that I'd like to see more of.
been in a quick visit too to shenzhen. youre lucky to know more... need to learn more bout chinese.
The teapot soup you had is a Japanese specialty called Dobin Mushi - it is very very delciious to me !!!
Wow, you had such an interesting experiences in those retaurants. And of course the pic of the fog is super.
Haha great photo from the business centre. Oh yes those friendly waitresses and the bending and the curious smiles, haha, they always brought a knife and fork for us, but we always used the chopsticks. Great stories on your tips.
