I told about this place already somewhere else in this page. In not so organized in mind today, sorry. It is saturday, it's raining, and I'm sleepy. This is a side road of the Fisherman's Wharf, behind the well known Cannery. Many shops are carved inside old buildings. San Francisco inhabitants are well skilled in joining historical places and enjoyable activities. Good for them.

At the end of the Fisherman's Wharf, westwards, you'll find a square that hosts a couple of interesting electronics shops, a stop of the cable car, the entrance of Ghiradelli Square (see another tip for this place) and most of all a beautiful view of the San Francisco Bay. Everything is enriched by the presence of this wonderful vessel anchored by the dock. The San Francisco people definitely knows how to enrich their environment.

Name of Shop: Ghirardelli Square
Actually I have not understood this place, but I like it. This is a closed area at the end of Fisherman's Wharf (see another tip in this category for location and directions), containing a couple of restaurants, one of them recommended by the Lonelyplanet guide but ridiculously expensive. I'm also good at recommending superexpensive restaurants saying that "there is an exclusive atmosphere". How useful. A place to rest after the long walk (we reached Ghirardelli from the Coit Tower and, I ensure you, it's a loooong way.

See this picture. On the left, behind the tray, you may see foliage. Actually, behind the foliage, and so hidden from the sight of people coming towards me, there was a mad man waiting for tourists to jupm out saying "Booohhh!!!" frightening them when they are close. A small crowd was gathered there enjoying the unexpected show. The funniest part has been that, a few moments later, a tourist approached the man from behind "booooohing" him. The mad got scared and upset for this! The Bible says "don't do to someone else something you don't want somebody do to you" (or something like this, sorry).
