I've been in Oban three times. The first in 1985. There is a funny story to tell about the young shivan's first visit here. I was in Scotland (Glasgow actually) for an english course. The grammar I use in my tips clearly show how useless that course has been, and the organization of the whole thing was poor also. We made three trips from Glasgow that year, one to St. Andrews (see below), another to Edinburgh and the last to Oban. A long coach trip, including sicknesses of the participants, and a dense fog covering the entire Scotland area between Oban and Glasgow. We finally arrived here at lunch time. Well, believe it or not, the fog was so dense that no one of the party was aware of the sea and the shore! Young, stupid and foggy italians |

Tripack Tue Aug 30, 2005 23:06 UTC Wow it is the first time that I could see Oban as I ever taste it before. If I go there I will prefer the whisky tasting tradition than boiled fresh seafood tasting;-) |
