Görlitz by Leipzig
map by virtualtourist.com
Görlitz is Germany's easternmost point on the River Neisse. It was divided after the Second World War into the German city of Görlitz and the Polish city of Zgorzelec. Today both parts can easily be visited due to the European unification. You just need your passport (pertaining to Europeans at least)

Görlitz attracts today with an almost completely restored historic centre with architectural gems of the past 500 years.
