Jena, also called Silicon Valley of the East, is the first address for optic- and high tech-technology and is seat of about 30 scientific facilities. The town is sitauted on Saale River and was founded in 13th century. Today Jena has around 100,000 inhabitants. The founding of the university in 1558 made Jena one of the most popular places to study in all Germany. Great German poets taught or supported the university, like Goethe and Schiller.

I'm surprised at why some Jena's citizens don't like colours building, they're so beautiful. Kartoffelhaus sounds great, I'd like to visit it some day. |
