Turkey is located on two continents, Europe and Asia. It is at the northeast end of the Mediterranean Sea in southeast Europe and southwest Asia. To the north is the Black Sea and to the west is the Aegean Sea. It borders with Greece, Bulgaria, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Iran, Syria and Iraq. Its history is makred by the old Romans, Greeks, Ottomans, Perians and many many more. The combination of historical and mordern architecture together with a great landscape make Turkey a facinating country. I was in Turkey three times and visited the south and the southwest. Would love to go back to explore the other parts of this beautiful country.

Wonderful pages about a fascinating country. Australians have an interest because of the fighting at Gallipoli in WW1, but these battles were only a tiny part of Turkey's incredible history.
