The university town of Magdeburg is located in the Elbe-Boerde-Heath, has about 230,000 inhabitants and is the capital of Saxony-Anhalt. Magdeburg's culture and history is dating back about 1200 years. It became popular by the physicist Otto von Guericke, the inventor of the vacuum pump and his famous hemisphere experiment.

Amazing view from Furstenwall. It's interesting idea to see sightseeings with special guide-marks in the city centre.
