Naumburg is one of the most beautiful towns of Germany. It is located in the wine-growing region of Saale-Unstrut, close to Leipzig. Founded by the margraves of Meissen in about 1000, Naumburg became seat of bishops in 1028. It received town rights in 1142. Its town centre offers a million of historic and architectural highlights, like the Cathedral and the town hall.
I stopped in Naumburg one day only. You can not discover everything in this short period. As this town is just a 30min ride away from Leipzig I will come back for sure in the near future.
