Krakow was capital of poland until 1609 but it still claims to be the inoffical capital. It was mostly spared the bombings of the Second World War and offers today an almost fully intact Baroque and Renaissance city centre. It attracts with dozens of churches, narrow old streets and architectural gems. No wonder why the city centre has been listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site. |
