Maryland will always keep in my mind as the rainy state. Not because of the climate but the first hurricane I experienced here. While my stay in Baltimore the hurricane "Ernesto" had its landfall here. Although it was downgraded to a tropical storm right after the landfall it was raining cats and dogs and stormy gusts made it almost impossible for me to walk around.

very nice tips here especially on climates. this is my 2nd maryland page visited today. 1st was historic and your seems more nature :-)

Chris, I survived tropical storm driving interstate along white line at night in southern Louisiana but to my surprise freeways and roads in Gulf states are well prepared for heavy rains.
