Brandenburg is the state around Berlin. The north offers a lot of lakes for swimming and forests of birches and pines for hiking and mushrooming in the autumn. Beavers, otters, storks and eagles have claimed this picturesque area as their own. In the southeast of Brandenburg lies the Spreewald that offers numerous waterways for exploration by boat. The capital of Brandenburg is Potsdam. Well known for its Sanssouci Palace, which was Frederick the Great's favourite residence. Potsdam's new attraction is the high-tech Babelsberg Film Theme Park.

Not only a weather expert, but also a historical expert! I have so good memories on my trip to Spreewald: Boating and Spreewald Gurken!
Very interesting history! And I visited Cottbus when I was 7 or so - I remember ice-creams hehe and heavy shoppings of my parents :-)), no pics :-((( Is it enough to put up my Cottbus page? :-o
